Hindi News: स्मार्टफोन, टैबलेट और फैबलेट की लॉंचिंग की खबरें पढ़-पढ़कर बोर हो चुके लोगों के लिए सोनी एक खुशखबरी लेकर आया है। फोटोग्राफी के शौकीन वे लोग जो अपने हर छोटे लम्हे को कैमरे में कैद कर यादगार बनाना चाहते हैं उनके लिए सोनी ने अपना कैमरा लॉंच किया है जिसकी कीमत सुनकर एक बार आपको झटका तो लगेगा ही। लेकिन वो कहते हैं ना शौक बड़ी चीज है उसके लिए पैसों के बारे में नहीं सोचना चाहिए। करीब 84,990 रुपए की कीमत के साथ लॉंच किया गया सोनी का नया साइबर शॉट आर एक्स 10 कैमरा दिसंबर माह से भारत में बिकने लगेगा।

सोनी के इस नए कैमरे के लेंस काफी हाइ-टेक और अपग्रेडेड हैं। साइबर शॉट आर एक्स 10 में कार्ल 2-2400 एमएम एफ 2.8 जीस वरिओ-सोनार लेंस फिक्स्ड हैं और कंपनी की मानें तो आप दूर से ही फूल से लेकर किसी भी मामूली कीड़े तक क्लोज-अप शॉट्स ले सकते हैं। इतना ही नहीं यह लेंस इतने जबरदस्त हैं कि आप कम लाइट में भी बेहतर तस्वीरें खींच सकते हैं। सोनी का तो यह भी दावा है कि यूजर को कम रोशनी में लेंस को एडजस्ट करने की भी जरूरत नहीं है।

सोनी साइबर शॉट आर एक्स 10 में 20 मेगापिक्सल 1.0 टाइप बैक एल्यूमिनेटेड एक्समॉर आर सी एमओएस सेंसर लगा हुआ है और कंपनी के अनुसार यह कहा जा रहा है कि यह अन्य कैमरे 'इमेगर' की तुलना में चार गुना ज्यादा बड़ा है। इस हाइ-टेक कैमरे की सहायता से आप चलती पिक्चर के स्टिल भी कैप्चर कर सकते हैं और वाइ-फाइ की सहायता से आप इसे अपने स्मार्टफोन के ओएस के साथ भी कनेक्ट कर सकते हैं।

सोनी साइबर शॉट आर एक्स 10 के साथ कंपनी ने दो अन्य कैमरा एल्फा 7 और एल्फा 7 आर भी लॉंच किए हैं और इन दोनों कैमरों को लॉंच करने के साथ ही सोनी ने बेंचमार्क सेट किया है। एल्फा 7 (24.3 मेगापिक्सल) और एल्फा 7आर (36.4 मेगापिक्सल) में विशिष्ट रूप से निर्मित 9 बटन हैं। अब दिल थाम के बैठ जाइए क्योंकि हम आपको बताने जा रहे हैं इन दोनों कैमरों के दाम।

एल्फा 7 को 94,000 रुपए के साथ लॉंच किया जा रहा है और एल्फा 7 आर की कीमत एक लाख से भी ज्यादा रखी गई है। साइबर शॉट के साथ दोनों ही कैमरे दिसंबर से भारतीय बाजारों में उपलब्ध हो जाएंगे। सोनी का कहना है कि एल्फा 7 का वजन 407 ग्राम है और इसमें विश्व का सबसे छोटा और बदला जा सकने वाला लेंस लगाया गया है।

Don't worry -- WPCentral forum member Falorin has posted photos and a video (after the break) revealing more details of Verizon's Windows Phone flagship. As previous leaks implied, the 929 is effectively a compact Lumia 1520; the 1080p screen resolution, 20-megapixel camera and Snapdragon 800 chip remain intact. There's no microSD slot, although there will reportedly be models with 32GB and 64GB of built-in storage. The biggest surprise is Nokia's use of a nano-SIM, which suggests that the company no longer minds using a competitor's SIM format. Those who like what they see might not have to wait long to try the new Lumia for themselves. If Falorin is accurate, Verizon hopes to release the 929 around Thanksgiving.

Nokia's Chris Weber says there's no 'silver bullet' for Windows Phone success

With Gartner claiming Microsoft nibbled up just 3.3 percent of the smartphone market in Q2 this year, Nokia still has a long way to go to regain its mobile standing. Even with the handful of impressive products unveiled at Nokia World, Chris Weber, EVP of Sales and Marketing, agrees that there's still work to be done.

"I don't think there's a silver bullet," Weber said during an interview yesterday. "It's the portfolio, it's great marketing to make sure people are aware of the capabilities, and it's making sure that the apps are there."

The good news is Nokia now has a full device portfolio -- from the basic Lumia 520phone up to the full-fledged Lumia 2520 tablet -- thus crossing a range of price points, experiences and form factors. And with big names like Instagram, Vine and Flipboard joining Nokia's own "disruptive" apps, Weber said he's confident in Windows Phone's future.

Nokia has launched 4G tablet

 

Hindi News: अबूधाबी। फिनलैंड की मोबाइल कंपनी नोकिया ने 4जी टेक्नोलॉजी को सपोर्ट करने वाला टैबलेट लूमिया 2520 और पांच नए स्मार्टफोन पेश किए हैं। अमेरिका, ब्रिटेन और फिनलैंड में यह टैबलेट इसी तिमाही में बिक्री के लिए उपलब्ध हो जाएगा। इन बाजारों में लूमिया 2520 की कीमत 499 डॉलर (करीब 31,000) रुपये रहेगी। दुनिया के अन्य बाजारों में इसकी बिक्री वर्ष 2014 की पहली तिमाही से शुरू होगी। कंपनी सैमसंग व एप्पल जैसे प्रतिस्पर्धियों को चुनौती देने के लिए अपने उत्पाद पोर्टफोलियो का विस्तार कर रही है।

नोकिया के एक्जीक्यूटिव वाइस प्रेसीडेंट स्टीफन एलोप ने कहा कि लूमिया 2520 कंपनी का पहला टैबलेट है। यह लूमिया परिवार का विस्तार है। कंपनी ने 10.1 इंच की स्क्रीन वाले इस टैबलेट को भारत में 2014 की पहली तिमाही में लांच किया जा सकता है। कीबोर्ड के साथ इसकी कीमत भारत में करीब 40,000 रुपये (टैक्स अलग) रह सकती है। कंपनी 9,000 रुपये की अतिरिक्त कीमत में टैबलेट के साथ यह कीबोर्ड उपलब्ध कराएगी। विंडोज आरटी 8.1 ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम पर संचालित इस टैबलेट में एमएस वर्ड, एक्सल जैसे सॉफ्टवेयर पहले से इंस्टॉल होंगे।

नोकिया ने छह इंच स्क्रीन वाले अपने पहले स्मार्टफोन नोकिया लूमिया 1320 और 1520 पेश किए हैं। पांच मेगापिक्सल रियर कैमरा से लैस लूमिया 1320 की कीमत 339 डॉलर (करीब 21,000 रुपये) है। बीस मेगापिक्सल कैमरा वाले लूमिया 1520 की कीमत 749 डॉलर (करीब 46,000 रुपये) रहेगी।

Hands-on with the Nokia Asha 500, 502 and 503

Hindi News: The Abu Dhabi spotlight might be set squarely on the new Lumia devices, but the Windows tablet and pair of Windows Phones amounted to only half of the products Nokia announced today. A trio of Asha handsets also made the trip to the desert: the 500, 502 and 503. These three devices, which essentially are slightly revamped versions of the Asha 501 released this spring, will likely get the most facetime in emerging markets thanks to their smartphone-like features and reasonable price. The 500 -- the least expensive of the three -- is slated to cost $69 SIM-free, which is a solid $30 less than the 501; on the more expensive end of the pricing spectrum is the 503, which is $99 and comes with quad-band HSPA. (The 501 offered EDGE speeds for the same price, so this is a nice step up.)

Hindi News: Don't act like you didn't know this was coming. Nokia has finally removed the see-through shroud covering its latest high-end device, known as the Lumia 1520, here at Nokia World in Abu Dhabi. Thing is, it's not like any Windows Phone you've gazed upon before -- it's a top of the line smartphone with Microsoft's third WP8 update and many of the best specs you can get. Not only is it the first 6-inch 1080p smartphone to run Windows Phone OS, it's also the first that's powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 SoC (a quad-core chipset clocked at 2.2GHz). Nokia aims to sell the flagship for $750 unsubsidized later this year and it comes in four color options: red, white, black and yellow. The first two are glossy, while the latter two come with a matte finish.

Now that the new large smartphone is a reality, Nokia's given us some quality time with its pending flagship. If you've used or seen most Lumia devices in the past, the phone's overall design will not come as a surprise; it's dressed in Nokia's traditional unibody polycarbonate, though it looks like a Lumia 920 that got flattened with a mallet. That's not a bad thing, since it's 8.6mm thick (with the exception of the 1520's camera bump, which reminds us of the 925), but thanks to its 85.4mm-wide chassis, you'll need the phone to be as thin as possible to even think of using this as a one-handed device; it's three millimeters wider than the HTC One Max (and six millimeters wider than the Samsung Galaxy Note 3), which means the only reason it's even tolerable to hold with one hand is its thin profile and smooth curved edges.

Nokia's incoming Windows Phone update will teach new Lumia 1520 tricks to old smartphones

Hindi News: Nokia, now under the Microsoft umbrella, will be combining an incoming Windows phone update with its own smartphone upgrades. Lumia Black is its name, and it'll bring the new, unified Nokia Camera, alongside Storyteller and Beamer apps found on the new Lumia 1520 and 1320, to existing Windows Phone 8 devices in its 920 series and 1020 smartphone -- soon. The company didn't specify a roll-out date, however. According to Elop: "This will happen later on, it won't happen immediately. Some of the key updates for Windows Phone are in GDR3, so the notifications... will come through across all devices and be combined together with the Black update."

Nokia Lumia 1020: First Impressions

 

The Nokia Lumia 1020 is one of Nokia's path breaking products. The company has been focusing on innovation in imaging technology, and the first smartphone to showcase it was the Nokia PureView 808, which was based on the ageing Symbian platform. Nokia decided to abandon Symbian and switch to Windows Phone but it took the company some time to bring the PureView technology to the new platform, despite using the PureView branding with some of the early Lumia Windows Phone-powered devices to highlight their special camera features which included low-light imaging and optical image stabilisation.

The Lumia 1020 is the first Windows Phone smartphone to bring the PureView 808's oversampling technology with its 41-megapixel rear camera. It also includes a Xenon flash which was last seen in the 808. The phone was launched with much fanfare in New York, in July and after almost two months, Nokia has brought the Lumia 1020 to India.

AT&T says Nokia Lumia 820 and 920 will get Amber update starting tomorrow

 

AT&T subscribers with Lumia 820 and 920 smartphones have had to wait a long time to get their Nokia Amber update, but it's at last on the way. The carrier tells customers in its Community Forums that the upgrade should reach their handsets starting tomorrow, October 10th. Much like the many preceding rollouts, AT&T's Amber release should add a slew of camera tools, double-tap to unlock and other extras that have been shipping with more recent devices. As long as you can resist the siren's call of shiny new hardware in the days ahead, you'll likely be happy with the new software.

It was as if Sony had suddenly paused its chaotic schedule of handset releases in order to take stock of what Android users actually want: things like 1080p, microSD and a premium look and feel. And yet, the Xperia Z failed to be compelling. It wasn't just its subpar battery life that held it back. It was also the lack of a standout feature, which caused the phone to be buried amidst all the news of the GS4 and the HTC One -- and also by the announcement of the Lumia 1020 Windows Phone, whose camera suddenly made Sony's pokey, 13-megapixel module look like old technology.

That's why today, just seven months later, we're looking at a new flagship: the Xperia Z1 (codenamed Honami, and not to be confused with the Xperia ZL), with a far more boast-worthy camera and some other subtle-but-important enhancements. Buyers of the Xperia Z may understandably be displeased at being left behind so soon, but -- as much as we feel for them -- we'd hazard a guess that they don't constitute an especially large population anyway. In contrast, the Xperia Z1 should have much greater mainstream appeal. Read on to discover why.

Fans in India Lament Death of A Brand After Microsoft Buys Nokia Mobile Unit

नई दिल्ली, [जागरण न्यूज नेटवर्क]। नोकिया इंडिया के तत्कालीन उपाध्यक्ष डी. शिवकुमार ने 2007 में एक इंटरव्यू में कहा था कि उन्नीस सौ पंचानबे में मोबाइल बाजार का जो माहौल था उसमें नोकिया की रणनीति को कोई भी अपनाता तो वह सफल हो सकता था। विशेषज्ञों के मुताबिक नोकिया की रणनीति उस समय के लिहाज से तो सही थी मगर बदलते समय के साथ उसने इसमें बहुत ज्यादा बदलाव की कोशिश नहीं की। यही वजह है कि मोबाइल बाजार की अगुवा कंपनी आज इस मुकाम पर पहुंच गई कि उसे अपना हैंडसेट कारोबार बेचने को मजबूर होना पड़ा।

दरअसल, नोकिया ने मोबाइल बाजार में पैठ बढ़ाने की जो रणनीति अपनाई थी उसमें जरूरत पड़ने पर बदलाव की गुंजाइश बहुत कम थी। परंपरागत रूप से नोकिया टॉयलेट पेपर से लेकर बिजली तक तैयार करती थी, लेकिन 1993 में कंपनी के सीईओ जोरमा ओलीला ने गैर मोबाइल कारोबार बेचकर सिर्फ हैंडसेट कारोबार पर ध्यान देने का फैसला किया। उस समय एलजी और सैमसंग जैसी सभी प्रतिस्पर्धी कंपनियां टीवी, फ्रिज जैसे दूसरे उत्पाद भी बनाती थीं। विशेषज्ञों के मुताबिक नोकिया की रणनीति में जोखिम यह था कि सब कुछ ठीक रहा तो कंपनी बेहतर करेगी, लेकिन अगर हैंडसेट की मांग कम होने लगी तो कंपनी क्या करेगी। इस लिहाज से सैमसंग का नजरिया अधिक लचीला था। सैमसंग दूसरे उत्पाद भी बना सकती थी, लेकिन नोकिया के पास दूसरा कोई रास्ता नहीं था। इसके अलावा जब दूसरी प्रतिस्पर्धी कंपनियां स्मार्टफोन पर फोकस करने लगीं तो नोकिया ने इस क्षेत्र में शुरुआत करने में देर कर दी। 

उलटा पड़ा दांव :

वर्ष 2007 में भारतीय मोबाइल बाजार में नोकिया की हिस्सेदारी 58 फीसद थी। जीएसएम हैंडसेट के तो 70 फीसद से अधिक कारोबार पर उसका कब्जा था। नोकिया के हैंडसेट की बिक्री एचसीएल करती थी, जिसका देश भर में तगड़ा वितरण नेटवर्क था। यह वह दौर था जब नोकिया की बादशाहत को चुनौती देने के बारे में कोई सोच भी नहीं सकता था। ऐसे में नोकिया ने एक साहसिक निर्णय लेते हुए हैंडसेट के वितरण का काम खुद करने का फैसला किया। कंपनी के इस फैसले ने सैमसंग जैसी प्रतिस्पर्धियों को बढ़त बनाने का एक मौका दे दिया, जिनके पास पहले से ही वितरण का अपना बड़ा और मजबूत नेटवर्क मौजूद था।

एक समय नोकिया के एन-सीरीज फोन की बाजार में बादशाहत थी। भारत में नोकिया 940 रुपये से लेकर 41,639 रुपये तक के फोन बेचती है। जानकार कहते हैं कि एक ही ब्रांड सभी के लिए नहीं हो सकता है। शहरों में नोकिया के ई-सीरीज फोन [कारोबारियों के लिए] और एन सीरीज फोन [मल्टीमीडिया फीचर्स वाले फोन] काफी लोकप्रिय थे। यहां उसे कोई भी चुनौती देता हुआ नजर नहीं आ रहा था। ऐसे में नोकिया ने आशा सीरीज के हैंडसेट के साथ अपना फोकस ग्रामीण बाजार पर किया। कारोबार के लिहाज से यह नोकिया की दूसरी रणनीतिक चूक थी। ग्रामीण भारत पर फोकस के चलते नोकिया ने हाई एंड फोन निर्माता की अपनी छवि को खो दिया। जबकि सस्ते फोन के मैदान में वह माइक्रोमैक्स, स्पाइस और चीन से आयातित कई अनजान ब्रांडों का मुकाबला नहीं कर सकी।

विंडोज पर निर्भरता:

नोकिया ने एक और रणनीतिक भूल गूगल के एंड्रॉयड ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम से दूरी बनाकर की। वह पूरी तरह से माइक्रोसॉफ्ट के विंडोज प्लेटफार्म पर निर्भर हो गई। इसका उसे भारी नुकसान उठाना पड़ा। दरअसल, हार्डवेयर के लिहाज से नोकिया के फोन को आज भी सबसे बेहतर माना जाता है, लेकिन सॉफ्टवेयर में अक्सर गड़बड़ी की शिकायत मिलती है। सैमसंग का गैलक्सी एंड्रॉयड प्लेटफार्म पर ही आधारित है।

पिछले कई दिनों से चल रही अफवाहों और चर्चाओं के बीच आखिरकार नोकिया ने लूमिया सीरीज में एक नया फोन लॉंच किया है। हाल ही में नोकिया 625 को भारतीय बाजार में उतारा गया और प्रवेश के साथ ही यह फोन काफी लोकप्रिय होने लग गया है।

4.7 डिस्प्ले स्क्रीन वाला नोकिया लूमिया 625 कीमत के लिहाज से मध्य रेंज में शामिल किया गया है अर्थात यह ना तो ज्यादा महंगा है और ना ही इतना सस्ता कि आप बिना सोचे समझे इसे खरीद लें। 220 यूरो यानि करीब 17,300 रुपए की कीमत में यह फोन जल्द ही बाजार में बिकने लगेगा।

आजकल सामान्य उपभोक्ताओं के बीच फैबलेट और टैबलेट काफी लोकप्रिय हो रहे हैं। इन्हीं को कड़ी टक्कर देने के लिए नोकिया ने बड़ी स्क्त्रीन वाला और वाजिब दाम वाले नोकिया लूमिया 625 को मैदान में उतारा है। अब इसे नोकिया की बेहतर रणनीति कह लीजिए कि साल के अंत में उन्होंने इस फोन को लॉंच करने का निर्णय लिया क्योंकि ज्यादातर फोन साल की शुरुआत में ही लॉंच कर दिए जाते हैं और प्रतिस्पर्धा से बचने के लिए यह एक अच्छा कदम कहा जा सकता है। वैसे भी विंडो फोन होने के कारण हर कोई इसे खरीदना पसंद भी नहीं करता इसीलिए इस समय लॉंच होने की वजह से इसे किसी चुनौती का भी सामना नहीं करना पड़ेगा। 

इस फोन के फीचर्स के बात करें तो नोकिया ने हार्डवेयर के रूप में ऐसा कोई भी खास फीचर इस फोन के साथ नहीं जोड़ा जिसकी चर्चा की जाए। मसलन इस फोन में 512 एमबी रैम, 8 जीबी इंटरनल मेमोरी और 1.2 डुअल कोर प्रोसेसर नोकिया लूमिया 625 की मुख्य विशेषताएं हैं। इस फोन की रैम काफी कम है जिसके अनुसार बहुत सी एप्स इस फोन पर काम नहीं कर पाएंगी। इस फोन की खासियत यह है कि अन्य कॉमन फीचर्स के साथ इस फोन में एफएम रेडियो भी मौजूद है। 

नोकिया लूमिया 625 लाल, हरा, पीला, काला और सफेद रंगों में आपको मिलेगा और इस फोन में 2,000 एमएएच की बैटरी है।
